  1. Mita’s high-rise boardwalk resort is not a done deal; local involvement and collective pressure can stop it from happening.

Mita and his team want you to believe this is inevitable so you won’t fight back—but that's simply not true. If this were already decided, why is he spending so much time and money trying to sell it to us? Mita, like all property owners, must follow city ordinances and laws. Nobody can just unilaterally decide to manipulate or ignore our laws for their own personal gain. The reality is that this project requires community input and approval from the City Council. Ocean City residents still have a say, and our voices matter. The worst thing we can do is assume we are powerless.

  2. We’ve stopped bad projects before.

This isn’t the first time developers have tried to force bad plans on OC. We’ve won before, and we can win again. The majority of OC residents do not want this high-rise boardwalk resort! The Ocean City community understands that change is unavoidable, but it can be done in a way that respects our history and maintains the integrity and values on which our island was founded.

  3. We can stop this project, but we need your help! Here’s how you can take action today:

Together we make the city better. Numerous advocacy groups have formed in Ocean City to oppose the hotel, bayside commercial development, historic home demolition, and lack of government transparency and vision. These include: Save Wonderland, Friends of OCNJ History & Culture, Ocean City 2050, and Concerned Citizens of Glen Cove, among others.

Together, we can protect Ocean City’s future. Don’t let a few profit at the expense of the many—join us in saying “NO” to the Mita High-Rise-Boardwalk Resort!
